Have A Go At Creating A Scarecrow!

Dean Park Day Nursery has announced the launch of a fun-filled scarecrow competition for the local community.

Open to all families in the Bournemouth area, the event aims to get children creative this half term by putting together the most imaginative and unique scarecrows.

Judging will take place during the week beginning Monday 11th November and each scarecrow will be judged on a variety of criteria, including originality, craftsmanship, and overall appeal.

The winning scarecrow will be displayed in the nursery’s reception area, with the entrant receiving a special prize, although all participants will be celebrated for their creativity.

The competition is open to children of all ages, and entry forms can be obtained from the Dean Park Day Nursery website.

"We're excited to host this friendly competition and bring a smile to people's faces," said Rachel Zito, Nursery Manager.  "It's a great opportunity for young children to come together and have some fun, while at the same time learning about autumn, the changing seasons and what the purpose of a scarecrow is.”

All entries need to be dropped into Dean Park Day Nursery’s reception area by 6pm on Friday 8th November, clearly labelled with the child’s name.
