Newly renovated, Dean Park Day Nursery can be found within the historic Cooper Dean Pavilion in Bournemouth. The nursery has been developed to preserve the original charm and beauty of the building, whilst also creating a light, spacious environment that inspires children.
We have also recently launched a new baby room, which has its own sleeping area, kitchen, sensory wall and direct access to our outdoor learning facilities.
If you would like to arrange a visit to look around the nursery and speak to our staff, please let us know.
For all queries, please contact get in touch Kelly Yates ( Nursery Manager )
Fees have been structured so there are no hidden costs – meals, trips and peripatetic lessons, such as baby massage, music, dance and drama, are all included within the fees published.
We are open 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday–Friday for 51 weeks of the year. We are closed for bank holidays and two team training days a year. The nursery is also closed for the week between Christmas and New Year.
This year the nursery will be closed from Friday 21st Dec at 6pm to Wednesday 2nd Jan at 8am. Parents will not be charged during the closure period.
We have a minimum session policy, meaning your child is required to attend for at least four sessions per week. One session is equivalent to half a day. In our experience, this helps children to settle more quickly compared to those who only attend once a week or for two half days.
Before your child starts at Dean Park Day Nursery, we will invite you and your child to attend for a minimum of two settling in sessions. This is an opportunity for you and your child to get to know your allocated nursery practitioner and for them to get to know you and your child, as well as the other team members and children at the nursery. This also gives you the opportunity to leave your child for short periods of time before building up to a full session. We ask you to help us gather as much information about your child as we can during these sessions.
Subject to availability, additional sessions and flexible days can be arranged with notice.
There is a non-refundable registration fee of £35, payable at the time of reserving a place for your child.
There is a deposit payable upon acceptance of a place of £350. The deposit will be deducted from your last month of fees if payment is up to date when your child moves on from the nursery.
Fees for children under 2 include breakfast, snacks, drinks, two course lunch and supper.
For children under 2, parents have the option to purchase all meals and snacks for a daily cost or provide their own. All bottle feeds for children must be provided by the parent.
